Privacy Policy for Copy Text & Emoji

Last updated: October 6, 2026

Copy Text & Emoji saves short text copied from supported webpages and provides a searchable emoji picker.

Information stored

When recording is enabled, the extension stores up to 100 copied text entries of 1–1,000 characters, along with favorites and recording preferences. Copied text may contain personal or sensitive information. Password input fields are excluded, but other sensitive text may be saved.

Storage and sharing

All saved information is stored locally on your device using Chrome’s extension storage. Copy Text & Emoji does not transmit your clipboard history to servers, sell your information, share it with third parties, or use analytics or advertising trackers. Local history is not encrypted by the extension.

Clipboard access

The extension captures supported webpage copy actions. It does not read or monitor your system clipboard. Clicking a saved entry, emoji, or flag writes that text to your clipboard.

Your choices

You can pause recording, restrict website access through Chrome, edit or delete saved entries, or clear non-favorite history. Favorites remain until individually deleted or the extension is uninstalled. Uninstalling removes the extension’s local storage.

External links

The extension includes a link to johndillon.net. If you visit that website, its privacy practices apply separately.
